DOQ 10-meter County Files - Data Download

This page provides links for downloading Minnesota's county Digital Orthophoto Quad (DOQ) data sets resampled to 10-meter resolution in GeoTIFF format. These panchromatic county DOQs were created by the Land Management Information Center (now MnGeo) from U.S. Geological Survey 1-meter DOQs. The 10-meter county DOQs are useful as a layer of a geographic information system and are intended to provide a convenient background view at the county or township level. The resampling process (from 1-meter to 10-meter) greatly reduces the file sizes. For many applications at the county or township level, this loss of detail will not affect the final results. Files are large, ranging from 9 MB (Ramsey County) to 197 MB (Saint Louis County). Approximate uncompressed county file sizes are listed. To obtain the data, go to a county on the list and select GeoTIFF format to start the download. Once you select a file, your browser will generally ask you whether you want to open the file or save the file. Choose the 'save' or 'save to disk' option. Then specify where on your system you want the file to be saved. Click here for help with unzipping the download file.
