| Purpose | MDE has been in contact with Minnesota school districts since 1998, identifying school program locations. These locations are used by the Minnesota Department of Education to help identify where appropriate funds should be used for that school year. By adding school district service centers, school district maps will have an added value to the districts and MDE. | |||

| Attribute Accuracy | Many district service centers are located within existing schools. Those locations were found through use of the existing public school locations. Additional district centers were found through use of address matching using Google maps. | |||

| Lineage | This point dataset was initially created in March 2007. Locations were taken from existing public school locations where addresses matched. Where addresses were very close, NAIP 2003-2004 aerial photography was used. Additional unmatched sites were either located via the school district website or through Google maps. This dataset has not been through a QA/QC process. |
