| Lineage | In 1993, Isanti County contracted with Business Records Corporation to create their GIS. Westphal & Associates, an affiliate of BRC (purchased by ACS) acted as project manager. Intelligraphics, Int. of Waukesha, WI was contracted to convert the County tax maps. Westphal & Associates currently maintains and updates the parcel information up to 3 times per year. Parcel data was created by building a control from USGS quadrangle maps 1:24000 scale (State Plane Nad27 central MN feet) and files from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, creating a section grid from those maps and using any available County paper maps to fill in the parcel boundary information. Unique parcel numbers were assigned to each parcel that corresponds to a tax record on the County's AS/400 system. Information was created using AutoCAD. Shapefiles are exported out of AutoCAD Map, reprojected in ArcView and delivered to the County. |
