Pat Henderson serves as Executive Director of the Arrowhead Regional
Development Commission (ARDC) in Duluth, Minnesota. ARDC is a seven county
regional development commission covering the counties of Cook, Lake, St. Louis,
Koochiching, Itasca, Carlton and Aitkin. Minnesota’s nine regional development
commissions were established by state statute in 1969. ARDC’s mission is to
serve the citizens of the Arrowhead Region by providing local units of
government and citizen groups a means to work cooperatively in identifying
needs, solving problems and fostering local leadership. ARDC offers GIS services
to jurisdictions in the region.
Prior to joining ARDC in August 2008, Henderson worked as a consultant in
economic development, strategic planning and sustainable development in the
state of Minnesota and nationally and internationally. A native of northern
Minnesota, Pat has a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the University of
Minnesota Humphrey Institute in Minneapolis, MN.
