
For over 20 years, Tony Pistilli has been involved in the real estate
appraising and lending industries. Currently, Tony is chief retail appraiser and
vice president for consumer banking risk management at US Bank, Minneapolis. His
responsibilities include ensuring the compliance of valuation products, policies
and procedures with federal regulatory agencies. Other areas of responsibility
include developing and communicating business line policies and procedures and
coordinating quality assurance efforts across all lending units within the bank.
He previously operated his own real estate appraisal firm, worked as a staff
appraiser for several mortgage companies and served as a branch assistant for
the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Tony serves on the boards of
several non-profit organizations, is vice-chair of the Minnesota Real Estate
Appraiser Advisory Board and is a member of the American Banking Association’s
Appraisal Sub-committee.
Tony was appointed in 2003 by Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty to
serve on the Metropolitan Council, a regional planning agency for the
Twin Cities Metropolitan area. Until then, he was a member of the
Brooklyn Park City Council (elected in 2000). He served on the Brooklyn
Park Planning Commission from 1995 to 2000. He also served as President
of the City’s Economic Development Authority.
Tony attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in political
science, and currently holds a Certified Residential Appraiser’s
license.
