Rick is a commissioned Infantry Officer and is currently serving Minnesota National Guardsmen with over 14 years of active federal service in the United States Army and Army National Guard. He has leveraged and integrated Department of Defense (DOD) GIS systems and products in support of command and control decision making throughout his career. He has recently deployed in support of Overseas Contingency Operations in both Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2009, he served as the Chief of Operations for the Minnesota National Guard during the 2009 Red River Valley Flood Fight.
Rick holds a B.S. degree from Marquette University in Bio-Mechanical Engineering. "A GIS-based Common Operating Picture among all mission partners is a cornerstone to successful operations."
