Remote Sensing is the collection of earth data by sensors usually riding on aircraft and satellites. The field of remote sensing encompasses many technologies including aerial photography, satellite images, LIDAR, Radar and thermal data. Technological changes have advanced remote sensing data collection tremendously in recent years. This workshop offers the opportunity to learn the basics, hear about the newest developments, see GIS applications for LIDAR, and learn how imagery can be applied in state and local governments.
