Heather Albrecht
Heather Albrecht has been active in the Minnesota GIS community for over 20 years. She is serving her third term on the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council and is the Council Past-Chair. In addition to GAC participation, she has volunteered many years with the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium helping to plan the conference, serving on the board, and presenting workshops and sessions. She also participates in the Institute of Asset Management and the Climate Reality Leadership Project.
Heather is an IT Supervisor at Hennepin County, where she leads the GIS Technical Services Team. She is a St. Cloud State University (SCSU) alumnus who studied Biology and GIS. While attending SCSU, she studied abroad at the School for Field Studies in Yungaburra, Australia to learn rainforest ecology. She has a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Minnesota College of Continuing & Professional Studies.
