Michelle Clasen

Michelle Clasen serves as the Washington County Commissioner for District 5 in Minnesota. Elected in 2022, she brings over 14 years of civic leadership experience, including roles in city government and commissions across Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington counties. Michelle holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies with a minor in Sociology from Winona State University.

She is passionate about issues like climate action, mental health, clean water, and workforce development. Outside of public service, Michelle is a small business owner and freelance recruiter, deeply engaged in her community as a volunteer, mentor, and advocate.
