Karissa Beierle Pavek
Karissa Beierle Pavek is a GIS Specialist at Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG). She works to coordinate geospatial data with federal, state, and local agencies regarding the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). This includes educating and informing members of the public and elected officials on transportation and planning projects.
Karissa has worked as a GPS field technician, a teaching assistant for a Geoarchaeology field school, and with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Geologic Mapping Database. She graduated in 2020 from Minnesota State University, Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science in Geoarchaeology.
