Patrick Veraguth
Patrick Veraguth has been the Douglas County Surveyor since 2013 and Winona County Surveyor since 1999 and worked for Winona County between 1993 and 2013. He was instrumental in resurrecting the remonumentation process in Winona County after the county went 60 years without a County Surveyor.
Patrick owned and worked privately for Veraguth Land Surveying in Galesville, WI. He graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (UW) - River Falls and attended Clinton McLagan's land survey classes at Inver Hills Community College.
Patrick is a current member and past president of the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS) Chapter 5 and has been Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, and President of MSPS Chapter 3. Patrick has held and continues to hold various positions at MSPS:
- Past board member
- Past President (2020)
- Member, MSPS Historical Committee
- Chair, MSPS Government Relations Committee
Patrick is also a member of the Minnesota Association of County Surveyors (MACS), previously serving as Director (2006) and President (2017). He currently serves as Chair of the MACS Public Land Survey System Committee.
Patrick also participates in several additional organizations:
- Member and Past President, Western Wisconsin Chapter Land Surveyors
- Surveyor Representative Member, Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council (GAC) (also a member of several GAC committees)
- Central Director Member and President, National Association of County Surveyors (NACS)
- Member, National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS)
In addition to participating in professional surveying organizations, Patrick has also been a member of the UW - River Falls football team (1987 - 1990), and a wrestling and football coach of Galesville Middle School and youth programs. He is currently a member of the full choir at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria, and served as President of the church's council. Patrick has a wife of over 30 years, Teresa, and three sons, Alexander, T.J., and Gunnar.
Patrick has received a number of awards:

- 2024 MSPS E.A. "Bud" Rathbun Award of Merit for Advancement of the Profession of Land Surveying
